When Lesley-Ann Trow of Baulkham Hills suffered eczema as a child, she never thought it would lead to a thriving business when she grew up.
Now 32, Ms Trow has established a business that encourages people to use household products made from natural ingredients to prevent skin conditions that are caused by harsh chemicals.
Her party plan-based business is called Gorgeous Things.
It sells environmentally friendly products such as cleaning agents, reusable shopping bags, tea and coffee and health and beauty items for skin care, hair care and baby care.
Ms Trow said her aim was to sell products that were not only environmentally sound but were also beautiful and inspiring.
“Most people want to make the world a better place, but don’t really know what they can do to help.” she said.
“I give them little opportunities to make that change - to help the environment and to take action.“
“It’s all about fun, creating awareness and encouragement.”
Products are plant-based, safe to use during pregnancy, 100 per cent biodegradable and avoid chemicals to reduce allergies.
