So…it’s my Birthday today and although the title of this post may suggest that it’s a not espcially happy occasion…quite the contrary. I’m having a fabulous day thus far and I just thought I’d share a ‘feel good’ birthday ritual with y’all as it helps me celebrate another year and as I’ve mentioned here before…the more often I turn 29 (this is my 5th attempt to date) the better at it I get. You’ll need 2 A4 sheets of paper, 2 pieces of string or ribbon and matches. Read the rest of this entry »

Esther Blum has a new book ‘Eat, Drink and Be Gorgeous’ and I’m off to the
bookstore to get myself a copy. I’m excited to read about how doing 2 of my favourite things…eating and drinking can assist me to be gorgeous.
What’s it about?
Eat, Drink and Be Gorgeous is about having your cake and eating it too. In her years of practice, Esther has helped show countless women how to put the fun back in eating, be a tigress in bed, eat and drink like a food fashionista, choose the right vitamins, feel up instead of feeling down, and realize that life is too short to be on a diet the whole time!
You can check out Esther’s site Eat, Drink and Be Gorgeous
Fairtrade is not just about tea and coffee. There are hundreds of other products you can purchase for yourself and for others as gifts to help raise awareness of how and where products are produced.

If you know what the word limerence means then please forgive me while I explain for everyone else. Limerence is the psychological term for that dreamy state we float around in when we first fall in love with someone. The early stages of attraction and infatuation where we continually think about the object of our desire, we see none of their short comings, we believe we’ve found our ’soul mate’ and no one can convince us otherwise. Admit it, we’ve all been there. Only to find out a few months down the track that this person is not perfect, they’re human with faults and frailties.
