In the name of possibly life-changing research and leading the way forward for all you gorgeous women who’ve ever thought – ‘Tantra…isn’t that just about multiple orgasms and something Sting and his wife always go on about in Women’s Weekly’? I’m putting myself on the line, stepping way outside of the suburban sensibilities of my lower middle class up-bringing and delving into the world of Tantric practice. Wish me luck!
You may recall, I met the lovely Martina Hughes, Founder of Tantric Blossoming at the Mind Body Spirit Festival in Sydney some time ago. Martina recently wrote an inspiring post for the Gorgeous Things blog as a bit of an introduction to Tantra.
It might interest you to know - Martina’s post was the most read item of our Newsletter that month. So I know that many of you are interested in the subject and learning about the benefits of connecting with yourself and your partner on a much deeper level.
Your interest and my own curiosity has lead me to sign myself up for a Tantric Blossoming course and I’ll be sharing my experiences with you here on the blog.
To be honest, I’m quite apprehensive about the whole thing. I grew up in a household, like many of us where intimacy and sex weren’t really discussed and if they were it usually came with some kind of fearful warning. I’m not saying our parents got it wrong, they themselves grew up in a time of greater conservatism than you and I. Sometimes though, evolution needs a bit of a kick in the butt to get to the next level.
I’m looking forward to breaking down a few of my own barriers and I hope you’ll enjoy the journey and maybe even one day – take it yourself.
Right, I’m off! Feeling brave…
The ‘Day for Women’ was fantastic! Feeling very womanly right now
A special ‘thank you’ to the gorgeous Miss A – the first of many lovely ladies I spoke to at the workshop – it put me totally at ease to speak to someone with the same level of apprehension as myself. What an amazing journey it was.
Good on you, girl for following your curiosity and bravely facing some of your fears. I am looking forward to hearing more about your journey. Thanks for sharing this adventure with us, as you say it might encourage to take our own journey.
Thanks Ang…I did feel pretty brave taking it on…but after about 5 minutes of being at the workshop I felt completely comfortable and connected to everyone in the room.
It’s amazing y’know. Within 24 hours of the workshop I’ve had 2 really special events take place in my life and I know that neither would have taken place (because I would have reacted negatively in the first place and not let either be a possibility) without the process I went through with Martina and the other supportive women in our group yesterday.
Thanks for sharing that. I haven’t yet got along to a women’s only event, but have enjoyed many of the mixed events hosted by Martina.
I don’t yet quite understand how many of the women at these events seem to enter orgasmic states by simply standing before a man. I am curious to know if this is covered in the womens only days?
now this is an exciting post … I will follow it with great interest, thanks for sharing!
Kate … when you find out how to orgasm simply standing in front of a man, please do tell
@Kate – now I’m not an expert by any means but I think you’d be pleasantly surprised if you went along to one of the women only events
I’m pretty sure I know what you’re talking about and I can assure you that you’ll have a clearer picture of how you can bring on this state with or without a man present after a workshop.
Maybe Martina can give a better answer?
@Lis – it’s my pleasure to share what I’ve learnt so far…there’ll be another post in the coming week and perhaps more from Martina too.
hey lovely ladies…. orgasm lives inside of each of us, it can be as simple as the breath moving through us. it’s just that we stopped fully breathing from an early age. if you find yourself in a worskhop space or other environment where women are going into orgasm, breathe into yourself and feel where it registers inside of you.. women learn by osmosis. so if one woman in the room is in orgasm, every woman in the room can go into orgasm, by breathing and feeling fully. there are some other tips which can enhance the experience… and if you come along to the women’s day or a private session.. you may be surprised!!
I testify to these great stories. 5 months ago I was a walking numbie. Many times within the past 2 months I have stood inches from a man (or been in a tantric hug with him) and breathed, and breathed Him into me until I can feel his energetic body penetrating me deeply – literally. Orgasmic indeed!
This is a pleasant aside to the real work…
Through working with Martina, and with Shantam Niytama these past months my whole being is shifting into higher gear; processing old and deep traumas, clearing out many negative mental attitudes (in the space of 1 week I cleared my Self of a lifetime of hating men – simply gone), and steadily returning into my feeling body and my luscious femininity. There is an awesome power in here waiting to be unleashed…
Kudos to each of you that holds the hand of your trepidation and steps forward into your true Self.
